Top ten goal-getters 2008

10.
Tottenham Hotspur has brought home many victories since the employment of Dimitar Berbatov. Being a Tottenham fan I have seen him in action and have seen most of his goals. He is probably the most talented player on the Bulgarian national squad and Totenham supporters are always counting on "Berb" to get us a little farther than previous years. This gives "Berb" a place in the Top Ten goal-getter's.

9.
Didier Drogba is a regular Chelsea striker and he is no doubt the most talented player in history to be born in the Ivory Coast. Usually up front next to Andriy Shevchenko he gets a goal or two to bring Chelsea's chances higher at getting yet another trophy for their trophy case. This earns him a place at number 9.

8.
Like Didier Drogba, number 8 is another Chelsea player. Frank Lampard's many free kick goals, as well as during play goals, has earned him the privilege of being on the Top Ten. One of his advantages over normal players is that he can run full speed around the pitch for the 90 minutes. He is one of the many talented players on the England squad giving just another reason for him to be on the Top Ten.

7.
A bit like Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard is a formidable goal-scoring midfielder. Playing for one of the top clubs, Liverpool, he has earned popularity throughout England and no doubt beyond that. Scoring goals during free kicks and during play is one of his many attributes. He has earned many trophies during his time and will no doubt earn more.

6.
Forrendo Torres plays for Liverpool as well as Steven Gerrard. As a striker his main job is to score goals but he adds a bit of class into the game. Although he's not the best player in the world or the most popular he is still quite a good player. Even more to the point, a good goal-getter. He also has the honour of playing for his nation, Spain.

5.
One of the most respected names on FC Barcelona is no doubt Ronaldinho (full name Ronaldo de Assis Moreira). Even non-football fans have heard about this miracle that has been bestowed upon the Brazilian nation and beyond. As a midfielder he is expected to carry the ball up to the forwards. But if he can see an opening he's straight into the penalty area getting people out of their seats.

4.
The former England captain David Beckham has scored an unbelievable amount of free kicks over the years by bending and curving them into the back of the net. All of this has gave birth to the saying " Bend it like Beckham" . Using the side of his foot he has scored national and non-national goals. Probably the most popular player in history although a lot of people say his popularity comes from his spouse Victoria Beckham a.k.a "Posh Spice" in The Spice Girls. Although his popularity comes from Victoria he is actually quite a good player.

3.
The Portuguese midfielder that plays for Manchester United scored a total of 17 goals in the 2007 Premier league. Right behind the leading goal scorer Didier Drogba with 20 goals. Cristiano Ronaldo has a huge advantage over typical FA players. From what my research tells me, he is a Football Freestyler. Meaning he has mad skills that normal players can't even compare themselves to. He is the master of the step over and is no doubt a role model to the kids of Portugal and possibly other places.

2.
Ricardo Kaká has the most accurate shot I've ever seen in my life time. Although I've only been alive 12 years he still is a really good player. He uses the most simplest moves to outwit defenders. He is another Brazilian and plays for AC Milan and seems to always look up to the heavens whenever he scores making that a signature trademark for him. He is by far one of the best players of my time.

1.
Surprisingly someone from Brazil didn't become the #1 goal-getter. Euro sensation Wayne Rooney Brought home the gold medal for #1 goal-getter. With outrageous power and lots of speed he has become Beautiful Game Football's #1 goal-getter. He is the master of the volley and most defenders will back away when the 5 ft. 10 in. striker comes charging at you with a ball that seems to be glued to his foot. He was born in Liverpool, England. He was signed to Everton right before his 11th birthday. From Everton he went to Manchester United and his national team. This English footballer is probably one of the best strikers in English football history. A role model and a goal-getter. That is the definition of Wayne Rooney.
