Uruguayan left-back Walter Lopez signed with West Ham on September 5th. Lopez (22 Years) was a free agent until West Ham brought him pen and paper. He will be alongside Valon Behrami, Balint Bajner and loanee Jan Lastuvka who have also been signed.

West Ham have a new manager, he is Gianfranco Zola. Zola an Italian, used to play for Chelsea as a striker and is well respected in the game. Chelsea are West hams London rivals however and many Chelsea fans have mixed feeling about him coming to West Ham. You watch a video about his appointment here.
