All has been quiet on the Ronaldo to Spain news for some time now. Manchester United have been quite scared about losing him but they have apparently loosened their grip. The final offer is thought to be £60 million and according to sources, Ronaldo will meet with Sir Alex Ferguson and David Gill to try make them sell. There will be more on the subject soon enough.

I heard a rumor that Lancashire club Accrington Stanley FC had put in a bid for Ronaldo. It fell short of the 60 million pounds Real were prepared to pay however but was rumored to include a free bus pass and a lifetime supply of jellied eels and chip butties. It remains to be seen if this will tempt him away from Old Trafford however.
